What is Science Enrichment Programme?

 

Science Enrichment Programme is an interactive science education programme designed for kids, ages 6 to 12, to learn more about science through fun and hands-on science experiments. Since 2014, EMCC Learning Centre has been holding Science Enrichment Program during the December school holidays in Malaysia and Singapore, reaching out to many children every year. This year, we return with more dynamic science activities for children at Sutera Mall Library! Participants will be immersed in the joy of discovery the secret of nature. 

什么是科学实验班？

 

科学实验班是一个具有趣味及互动性的教育课程。课程和实验的内容是特别针对六到十二岁的孩子们所特别设计。我们通过有趣的课程及自己动手做科学实验以启发他们宏观的思维及创新能力。将来，孩子将会对生活和世界变的更加敏锐，细心观察和提高思考能力。我们期待每一位孩子，不仅能借着科学实验班提高科学基础，更重要的是他们能对自己的能力创造更自信的自己！自2014年起，EMCC Learning Centre 都会在十二月的学校假期举办科学实验班，让孩子们能够在马来西亚和新加坡参与这个有趣的科学实验班。今年，我们将在新山Sutera Mall为孩子们带来了更多更有趣的科学实验！孩子们一定会沉浸在大自然的奥秘之中。

What are they LEARNING?

Science Enrichment Programme stimulate and nurture children's nature interest in Science and help them to discover the power of Science though FUN and INTERACTIVE activities.

 

We provide a conducive learning environment that encourages ACTIVE LEARNING though methods that challenge and stimulate the child. Each lesson is integrated with EFFECTIVE TEACHING strategies to reinforce Science concepts.

 

All children will get to experience Science though hands-on experiment and games specially designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old.

小朋友将会学习些什么？

在老师的教导下，学生们自己动手做实验以培养科学能力。老师则扮演发问的角色，激发学生的表达能力。通过学生积极的提问和回答，学生们更能真正的了解科学的原理。通过分组讨论，学生们将学习如何沟通，再对他们的讨论结果，进行发表。这一环节，也让学生们有机会提高沟通技巧。

 

我们的科学实验班，着重于了解每个学生的特质和能力，透过课堂的讨论，思考和理解，给予每一位学生学习的机会，让他们享受学习科学的乐趣！学生们变的勇于尝试，主动思考及拥有正确的科学概念，科学态度及科学方法。
